What is an email signature? (or email footer)
An email signature (or email footer) is a standard text that you can automatically put in all the emails that you send.
When you create a new email or a reply to an email, the email signature will be added in the bottom of the email. This will save you time from retyping it.

You can configure your email signature to contain your contact details, a disclaimer notice (business email footer), a "Preserve the environment" note, etc.
The email footer can also save you from typing. You can create an email footer like as an email template containing the text elements of a typical email you send.

You can create more than one signature, so you have the appropriate text for every email. Example: a personal and a business signature.

How to create an email signature?
You can personalise your e-mail messages and provide important information to recipients by creating a custom signature. This signature can appear at the bottom of all your outgoing messages so you do not have to retype it each time.

• In Outlook, go to Tools > Options > Mail Format > Signatures.
• Click on New and create a name for your signature. You will then be able to enter your signature details, customising the font and colour.

• In Outlook Express, go to Tools > Options > Mail Format > Signatures.

• You can create different signature files to alternate between different people using the e-mail programme. For instance, you could create one for you and one for your children. Or different signatures for different email accounts you have. For instance one signature for your business email account and one for your personal email account.
